A partir de un convenio público-privado entre el Gobierno Municipal y Agricultores Federados Argentinos (AFA), se lleva a cabo la construcción de nuevas veredas sobre Bv. Colón.
La obra se extiende desde San Martín y Alberdi, y contribuye a la transitabilidad de los vecinos, ya que las veredas existentes se habían construido en la época en que se pusieron en marcha los elevadores de granos. Para su realización AFA aportó los materiales y el municipio la mano de obra. A esas labores, se suman iniciativas en favor de la seguridad, ya que, en una primera etapa, el Gobierno del intendente Leonel Maximino renovó en ese espacio toda la iluminación, que fue reemplazada por artefactos Led.
Vale señalar que por la obra de las nuevas veredas, se modificará el estacionamiento en las dársenas de Bv. Colón, entre San Martín y Alberdi, y pasará de 45 grados a 30 grados, sin afectar los árboles que se encuentran en ese sector.
Asimismo, y también a partir de un comodato que suscribió el Gobierno Municipal con AFA, la ciudad ganará un nuevo espacio verde, con la demolición de la vivienda que se encuentra en Bv. Colón y Alberdi. El nuevo espacio público se integrará al Parque 12 de Octubre.
